KIP Color 80
KIP Color 80
The premiere of a digital printing innovation: The KIP Color 80 is the world's first LED Monochrome and Full Color by CMYK plotter in A0 format and could change the face of digital printing forever - particularly poster and placard production. The system will be unveiled to a wider public for the first time at FESPA. With the KIP Color 80, the Japanese specialist in large-format multi-function systems (printing, copying, scanning) and whose German branch is based in Aachen has fully incorporated all of its decades of experience in LED technology into the development of this revolutionary printer. The performance data of the KIP Color 80 and the comparatively low consumption costs offer a highly attractive alternative to existing technology.

ImageUniquely productive and with remarkable color brilliance 17 seconds: This magic number describes the performance core of the KIP Color 80. This is how long the printer needs to print out an A0 page as a four-color full-coverage graphic. The system has a capacity for the equivalent of 4.8 meters or 3.5 A0 prints per minute - which makes it a peerlessly productive plotter for any placard and poster printing specialist or large copy shop. The only available print mode "Normal“ is automatically set to the best possible printing quality. This makes the plotter up to 17 times faster compared with a generic InkJet A0 printout in Quality mode. Four automatic intake rollers ensure an uninterrupted material supply. Besides the standard media such as 80g paper, the machine can also work with media such as blue-back paper, glossy, backlit films and even heavier paper weighing up to 135g - all of which opens up an extremely wide range of possible uses for the machine. Initial tests with uncoated films have also produced competitive results. Genuine 600 x 600 dpi optical resolution with four non-magnetic dry toners for KIP’s unique image development system in CYMK ensures output brilliance with color fidelity. The fact that the KIP Color 80 also guarantees very good reproduction qualities for black in both extremely fine lines and on larger surface areas is, as far as one of the leading plotter manufacturers is concerned, a natural high-end property. This makes the printer a multi-functional plotter for both black & white and color. An attractive option for many sectors Production: The system will probably be very attractive especially to poster and placard printers, advertising companies and large copy shops. Quality, productivity and material variety combined with subsequent finishing mean that there are (almost) no limits to the areas in which the KIP Color 80 can be used. The high degree of UV protection offered by the LED technology provides the best arguments for using the machine in advertising. Also, tests with printouts on blue-back paper have shown that glue and moisture cannot adversely affect the colors. Service bureaus: Thanks to its convincing line and black reproduction, the plotter can be recommended as a multi-flexible system for the regular KIP reprography market sector. For service-providers, this opens up new areas of business and possibilities for gaining clients, because the need for color CAD plots is also increasing among architects, engineers, CAD departments and in the administration of large companies and authorities.
