Oevel (Belgium), June 27th 2008 - Drupa was a piece of fortune for Roland DG. The four-yearly trade show attracted about 391.000 visitors from all over the world. A lot of them were interested in the machines and applications Roland DG showed on its booth, but the questions of people concerned chiefly the XC-540 printer/cutter.
Drupa took place in Düsseldorf, Germany, from May 29th to June 11th. The fair was very internationally directed, which was a plus for Roland DG’s mother company in Japan. The amount of visitors that were interested in the applications and solutions the company presented on its stand, turned out to be higher than expected. Interested people came from long-established economical countries, but also from upcoming markets. In sum, Roland DG is very satisfied with the results.

Oevel (Belgium), June 5th 2008 - Roland DG received the European Digital Press (EDP) Award for the best printer/cutter. The VersaCAMM VP-540 was praised mainly for its versatility and ease of use.
Last year, Roland DG won an EDP Award for its AJ-1000 and this year the company is among the winners as well. The VP-540 won the price for the best printing-cutting engine of 2008. The jury praised the machine for being compact, easy to use and versatile. The VP-540 is ideal for the production of a broad range of creative applications, like banners, billboards, POP displays, labels and vehicle and floor graphics. This year, Fespa Digital took place in Geneva (Switzerland) and attracted visitors from all over the world. Roland DG presented its complete Large Format range at the trade show.
